Sabrina Esses (née Salhi) is the chief privacy officer and data protection officer for the UK and EU at Marsh McLennan – a world-leading professional services firm specialising in risk, strategy and people. Prior to joining Marsh McLennan, Sabrina studied Law at the University of Durham before completing her solicitor training at Hogan Lovells, where she ultimately qualified into the privacy & cybersecurity team.

Sabrina’s work allows her to champion her view that privacy is a fundamental human right and one that must be respected in a civil society. Day-to-day, she works on building data governance frameworks and deploying data strategies that balance transparency and trust without sacrificing individual autonomy.
