Dr Michael Foran is associate professor of law at the University of Oxford and tutorial fellow in law at Keble College, Oxford, where he teaches public law and jurisprudence.

Dr Foran writes extensively on all aspects of equality and human rights law. His first book, Equality Before the Law, was published in 2023 and was based on his PhD thesis, which won the Yorke Prize from the University of Cambridge. His second book, Sex, Gender Identity and the Law, will be published in 2026 by Cambridge University Press.
