Jo Bartosch is a journalist and women’s rights campaigner who writes for national and international outlets including The Telegraph, Mail on Sunday, Spiked, UnHerd and The Critic, where she is assistant editor.

Her work centres on sex-based rights, the harms of pornography, and the erosion of free speech in public life. Among the first journalists to sound the alarm over the medical transition of children, she has been a consistent voice challenging policies that endanger women and girls.

Jo’s first book, Pornocracy (Polity, 2025), co-authored with Robert Jessel, exposes how the porn industry’s vast wealth and reach have us all in a chokehold—undermining empathy, fuelling abuse, and reshaping society itself.
