Vanity von Glow
internationally ignored superstar; cabaret performer; host, The Vanity Project; host, Drag Queen Wine Tasting and Drag Queen Power Ballads

Internationally ignored superstar Vanity von Glow is a live performance tour de force who has caused a sensation around the UK and Europe for 15 years. Her live shows began in the basement bars of Glasgow before she took London by storm becoming one of the West End’s most recognisable drag queen talents.
Either playing live at the piano herself, or accompanied by the best musicians in the business, Vanity combines show-stopping live music with off-the-cuff comedy and glittering gowns as only a drag queen at the top of her game can. Her two current shows Drag Queen Wine Tasting and Drag Queen Power Ballads have entertained thousands of cabaret enthusiasts both in London’s West End and at festivals around the country. Years at the top have seen Vanity work with the likes of Nadine Coyle, Lily Allen, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Tim Minchin and even superstar songstress Adele.
In 2018, she came under fire for performing at free-speech rally, the Day For Freedom, after which she was targeted by a campaign led by fellow cabaret performers to have her banned in venues nationwide and in Ireland. Vanity spent the subsequent year defying the would-be censors with performances at free-thinking stand-up night Comedy Unleashed, selling out solo shows at the Camden Underworld, Zebrano Soho and hClub Covent Garden and, in an unexpected departure, tearing up the stages of techno dungeons and sex clubs in Berlin.
More recently, Vanity has juggled various projects – her popular wine tasting events, traditional cabaret shows, and her podcast The Vanity Project, where she has interviewed guests with diverse perspectives such as Lorraine Kelly, Peter Tatchell, Andrew Doyle, Baroness Claire Fox, and MPs Jess Phillips and Dawn Butler. She has been a frequent contributor to public discussions around drag entertainment, notably appearing on Piers Morgan, Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson’s TV shows to discuss controversial story-time events here in the UK.
