Tim Stanley
columnist and leader writer, Daily Telegraph; author, Whatever Happened to Tradition? History, Belonging and the Future of the West

Tim is a writer, journalist and broadcaster. A specialist in US political history, he has held fellowships in history at Sussex University and Royal Holloway before joining the Daily Telegraph as a columnist and parliamentary sketch writer. As a journalist, he has reported on elections, presidents, Iraq and Ukraine. He regularly appears on Radio 4 discussing religion and morality, including Thought for the Day and Moral Maze, and has contributed to CNN, the Spectator and History Today, as well as popping up on BBC Question Time.  Stanley lives in Kent with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Bertie.

Tim’s latest book, Whatever Happened to Tradition? History, Belonging and the Future of the West, is published by Bloomsbury.
