Sally Millard

Sally is a long-standing member of the Battle of Ideas organising committee and was co-founder of the AoI Parents Forum. Over the years, she has produced numerous debates at the Battle of Ideas festival, including ‘Telling off the grown-ups’ and ‘Who should teach our kids about relationships and sex?’

The Parents Forum, set up in 2006, provided a meeting place for those who want to make sense of why parenting is such a focus for policy makers. With concerns ranging from what we feed our children, how we discipline them, and even how we should address them, bringing up kids seems neither a straightforward task, nor a private matter. The Parents Forum allowed discussing on these developments to better understand and respond to them.
