Katy is a well-travelled speaker trying to create better engagement and conversation – honest, but reasonable and respectful. She hosts, moderates and facilitates dialogue and discussion around stereotype bias, prejudice, diversity and inclusion, socio-cultural change, conflict and confrontation – how to tackle toxic topics, difficult debates, or just to disagree better.

Katy works with organisations like the Human Library, Pick My Brain, public sector, business, media and TV, talking about DEI, identity and difference, especially LGBT+, mental health, mood and neurodiversity, disability etc, but particularly around non-partisan differences, seeing the complex individual rather than the Equality Act protected characteristic.

Her mission – one conversation, dialogue, free-speech debate, encounter with a colleague, executive or stranger, at a time – is to foster and facilitate a more open-minded world, able to hear all two or more sides to every story, idea or ideology, clash of rights, identity politics, intersections of needs etc. She tries to do all of that by greater raw transparent personal vulnerability, non-offence taking, using head, heart and humour, creating outcomes that are win-wins for more of us and all of us; taking people with us, rather than perpetuating polarised them & us situations.
