Joan Smith is an author and journalist. She has published six novels and various works of non-fiction including Misogynies. She writes regularly for UnHerd and is a member of the Sex Matters advisory group.

Her new book, The Julia-Claudians: Femicide and Resistance in the Early Roman Empire, will be published by William Collins in 2024. Home Grown: How Domestic Violence Turns Men Into Terrorists was published by riverrun in 2019.
