Charlie Bentley-Astor
writer; commentator; free-speech advocate

Charlie Bentley-Astor writes for various UK and US publications, including the Telegraph, the Critic and UnHerd. She sometimes comments upon current affairs on GB News and TalkTV.

She is a recent graduate of the University of Cambridge, specialising in the hero of the Western mythos and his intersection with conceptions of the logos.

While at university, she was a staunch advocate for free speech on campus, actively working to protect and promote the rights of speakers and the rights of audiences to freely listen, associate and congregate.

She became recognised in the mainstream press after detailing her experience with gender dysphoria in the Telegraph. She has since been asked to write on a whole range of topics, including free speech, education, identity politics, art and culture, with her voice becoming known for its ‘devastating self-awareness’ and polemic, ‘common sense’ style.
