Andrew Doyle
presenter, Free Speech Nation, GB News; writer and comedian; author, The New Puritans: how the religion of social justice captured the Western world and Free Speech and Why It Matters

Andrew Doyle is a writer, comedian, and a presenter on GB News. He is the author of Free Speech and Why It Matters (2021) and The New Puritans: how the religion of social justice captured the Western world (2022). He is the creator of the satirical character Titania McGrath who has published two books – Woke: a guide to social justice (2019) and My First Little Book of Intersectional Activism (2020).

As a stand-up, Andrew has written and performed seven live shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, four of which transferred to the Soho Theatre in London. In 2019 he toured the UK with Friendly Fire, a stand-up show produced by Phil McIntyre Entertainments. He is the co-founder of Comedy Unleashed, a regular night in London which promotes free-thinking comedians.

Andrew’s credits for BBC television include Jonathan Pie: Back to the Studio (co-writer), Jonathan Pie’s American Pie (co-writer) and the documentary Nazi Pug: Joke or Hate? (producer).

He began presenting his show Free Speech Nation on GB News in June of 2021. Before then he was a columnist for spiked, a panellist on the BBC’s Moral Maze and regularly reviewed the papers on Sky News.

Andrew’s plays include Borderland (national tour for 7:84 Theatre Company, Scotland) and four dramas for BBC Radio 4: The Second Mr Bailey, Jimmy Murphy Makes Amends, Poster Girl, and Reacher’s Point.

Andrew’s musical theatre work includes adaptations of Terry Pratchett’s Soul Music (Rose Theatre, Kingston), Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio (Castle Theatre, Wellingborough), and three shows for the Lyric Theatre in Belfast: Tony Macaulay’s Paperboy, Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels, and Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn.
