Amardeo Sarma

Amardeo Sarma is an electrical engineer with degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and the Technical University of Darmstadt. He has worked in an industrial research environment at Deutsche Telekom, EURESCOM GmbH and NEC Laboratories Europe in Heidelberg. He founded the German skeptics organisation GWUP – Society for the Scientific Investigation of Parasciences – and is co-founder of ECSO, the European Council of Skeptical Organisations.

Amardeo is currently an adviser for the Trust in Digital Life Consortium, a board member of the SDL Forum Society. He is a fellow and executive council member of the Committee for Scientific Inquiry with its magazine Skeptical Inquirer, a member of ACM and is an IEEE Senior Member. As a co-founder, he is on the board of RePlanet, a global association dedicated to science-based solutions to climate change, agriculture and the need to eliminate poverty.

His activities are dedicated to promoting science and critical thinking in all spheres of life as essential to coming to terms with the changing world.
