Jon Holbrook
barrister; writer, spiked, the Critic, The Conservative Woman

Jon Holbrook is a barrister who has written for several publications including spiked, The Critic and The Conservative Woman.  In 2014, he was shortlisted by the legal publisher, Halsbury, for their legal journalism award. In 2021, he was cancelled and expelled by his former barristers’ chambers for his tweets that espoused his conservative beliefs.  His website is: www.jonholb.com.

Jon is a critic of the way that law has expanded into political areas.  Accordingly, from a political perspective he particularly dislikes many aspects of human rights laws and the Equality Act.
