James Woudhuysen

James Woudhuysen is a physics graduate and visitor to the School of Engineering at LSBU. He broadcasts on GBNews and TalkTV. He covers issues related to the economics, technology and sociology of construction, energy, IT, leisure, manufacturing, healthcare, retailing, transport and the office. He was editor of Design magazine, a director of designers Fitch and forecasters the Henley Centre, and head of worldwide market intelligence at Philips consumer electronics in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
James is the editor of Big Potatoes: the London manifesto for innovation (Shanghai Jia Tong University Press, 2012), author of The political economy of informal events, 2030 (Access All Areas, 2019), and co-editor of The Wiley Handbook of Design and Innovation 2030 (Wiley, 2022).
James is now too old and white to be allowed to give keynote addresses to giant corporations any more. He does not forecast the stock market, horse racing, the weather – or your personal destiny.
