Jacklin is a freelance journalist currently pursuing a masters in science communication at Imperial College London. She first began reporting on China-UK relations in academia/research, property and Northern revitalisation in 2019. In 2020, her story about the rise of racism towards Chinese international students in Manchester was featured on BBC Radio Manchester. This year, she published an investigative piece with Manchester Mill about the future of Manchester-China relations in an era of growing hostilities. Jacklin usually covers data stories as well as science and technology, and has had her work in publications such as Manchester Mill, Wired UK and Current Affairs.
