Emma Gilland
sixth-form student; co-author, The Corona Generation: coming of age in a crisis

Emma Gilland is a sixth-form student, studying for A-levels in sociology, English, history and politics. She has written for spiked and the Equiano project, as well as co-authoring The Corona Generation: coming of age in a crisis with Jennie Bristow in 2020. She used this to build on her political voice, to look at the views and effects on students themselves rather than from the paternalistic view of others. She has spoken at a number of events, including the launch of the Free Speech Champions in early 2021.
