Donald Clark
tech entrepreneur; investor; professor; author; founder, Epic plc; CEO, WildFire

Donald is an entrepreneur, CEO, professor, author and investor. He was the founder of Epic plc, which he floated on the stock market in 1996 and sold in 2005. He has spent over 35 years starting, growing and investing in tech and from 2015, was a fan of Blockchain, involved in several projects, even getting married on Blockchain! He gave many talks on blockchain and cryptocurrencies. His damascene conversion came with the rise of cryptocurrencies, where he saw pure speculation, thinly disguised as the common good.

A believer in sport as a transformational activity for young people, he has financially sponsored grassroots football. Although he is now based in Brighton, as a Scot he supported Glasgow Rangers, and as a 14 year old, narrowly escaped the Ibrox Disaster. This led to a lifetime of reflection on the role sport plays in culture and society. His son has competed for the England Tae Kwon-Do team at national and international level.
