Peter Andrews
head of sustainability policy, British Retail Consortium; campaigner, Better Retail Better World

Peter is the head of sustainability policy at the British Retail Consortium (BRC), the trade association for retailers, and is responsible for the development and delivery of the retail industry’s sustainable and ethical trade policies. He set up the industry’s Better Retail Better World campaign to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

He is a trustee of charity Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX), and co-chairs the Home Office Advisory Group on Modern Slavery Statements. Prior to joining the BRC Peter worked on environmental issues for the representative body of food and drink manufacturers, FDF.

He studied at the University of Southampton and University Reading, and most recently at the Sustainability Leadership Lab of the University of Cambridge.
