Lord Andrew Adonis
Labour peer; founding chairman, National Infrastructure Commission; author, Saving Britain: how we must change to prosper in Europe

Andrew Adonis is a former transport secretary, schools minister and head of No 10 policy unit. He was the founding chairman of the National Infrastructure Commission. Previously a journalist for the Financial Times and the Observer, Adonis was also a fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford. In 2005, he was made Labour peer for Camden Town in the London Borough of Camden. He has written 10 books, including his most recent: Saving Britain: how we must change to prosper in Europe (2018).
