Dr Stuart Waiton is a senior lecturer in sociology and criminology at Abertay University and chair of the Scottish Union for Education, a campaigning union for parents, teachers and communities who want to challenge indoctrination in education. He is author of Scared of the Kids: curfews, crime and the regulation of young people, The Politics of Antisocial Behaviour: amoral panics, and Snobs Law: criminalising football fans in an age of intolerance. Stuart explores key themes associated with modern forms of criminalisation in society, amoral panics and the over-regulation of everyday life.
