Stella O'Malley
psychotherapist; director, Genspect; author, What Your Teen is Trying to Tell You

Stella O’Malley is a psychotherapist and author of several books, most recently What Your Teen is Trying to Tell You. Stella is the founder and director of Genspect and also maintains a private practice primarily dedicated to parenting, family dynamics, and teens.
Stella first became well known for her work in gender with the 2018 documentary, Trans – Kids: It’s Time To Talk. Moved by how many families were impacted by gender dysphoria, Stella founded the Gender Dysphoria Support Network in 2020 to help parents access appropriate support. She went on to found Genspect in 2021 with a mission to promote a healthy approach to sex and gender.
Along with Sasha Ayad, Stella is the co-host of the popular podcast, Gender: A Wider Lens and the co-author of When Kids Say They’re Trans.
