Matilda Martin
English student, University of Oxford

Matilda is a current undergraduate student of English at Oxford University. She works as a tutor of both school- and home-educated children and is considering a career in teaching. Having been educated at home herself, she has a keen interest in the philosophy of education and in education policy, with a particular focus on what she sees as the decreasing rigour, increasing prescriptivity and politicisation of the curriculum, and the erosion of the curiosity and wonderment which ought to accompany all learning.
