Paul Thomas
civil servant; qualified FE teacher; organiser, Leeds Salon

Paul is a civil servant who has lived in Leeds for over 30 years. He is a co-founder of The Leeds Salon public discussion forum, and writes occasionally for the Leeds-based Culture Vulture blog. He has been a judge in the Academy of Ideas Debating Matters competition since 2008, and helps chair and run competition events throughout the north of England. Since 2014, Paul has also run Leeds Salon’s own annual debating competition for year 10 and 11 pupils using the DM format.
